As A Roaring Lion (Part 1)

I saw something in the spirit early this morning, and I have to share it.  I don't speak of the enemy very often, but when I was shown this, I was instructed to share it.

Most of us are familiar with the reference to the enemy as a lion, in I Peter 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: There are many teachings about the devil that use this particular passage, that I believe actually appear to elevate the power of the enemy.  We need to always remember, never forget, the enemy was defeated at Calvary, and the defeat was declared at that empty tomb!  He's still more than willing to wreak havoc in the lives of believers, but his roar is nothing more than making noise.  He doesn't really have to focus too much on the heathen nations, the flesh is more than willing to make a mess and promote it.  I'm not going to address the works of the flesh in this article, but suffice it to say, the list in Galatians 5, is lengthy, and is not the work of the enemy, but the unrighteous will of humanity.  Back to the subject of this as a roaring lion.

We know that Messiah is mentioned in Scripture as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.  We also know the enemy is not creative, but rather counterfeits, so . . . let's consider where the adversary can truly do the most damage, because that is his goal.  The enemy knows he has already lost, he's just seeking to cause casualties, now.  The enemy is not omnipresent, nor is he omniscient.  The greatest damage the enemy can do, is come along side the truth of a relationship with Messiah, with an imitation religion.  One that uses most of the same words; while lacking the Instruction and power.  Again, the enemy just makes noise . . .

As well as works of the flesh, we know there are spirits of evil in this world.  The most damage that can be done spiritually is by evil counterfeiting the Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit].  Surrendering to the counterfeit spirits would result in many being spiritually devoured.  We've seen it with false teachers and showmanship evangelism.  This morning Abba showed me, the counterfeits for the gifts of the Spirit, and told me how we've missed recognizing the difference by claiming different interpretations rather than understanding different administrations of the same Spirit, or discerning different counterfeiting spirits.  He just showed me right in order, how the gifts of the Spirit are counterfeited by the adversary.

Formal education and experience are often mistaken for wisdom.  Education in and of itself is not evil, we should never stop learning, but education and wisdom are not the same thing, especially when it comes to spiritual matters.  Wisdom is not the result of experience, either; although we'd be wise to learn from our experiences. Wisdom and maturity do seem often to be hand in hand.  True spiritual wisdom cannot be taught, but only received by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.  Spiritual wisdom is not taught in seminary.  The gift of wisdom reaches far beyond religious matters, into insight in practical matters; as was the case when King Solomon determined who was the real mother.  Wisdom didn't come with the throne.  The circumstances of growing up a prince gives every indication Solomon would have had the best education available, yet he asked for wisdom.  A sure sign of the counterfeit roaring lion is "being filled with teachings of tradition and wise in our own eyes."

Much knowledge can be gained through gathering information, but the gift of knowledge through the Ruach HaKodesh is heart knowledge beyond head knowledge.  I, personally experienced the understanding of this when I received the Holy Spirit.  I'm an information sponge of sorts, and had certainly attempted to gain respectability through knowledge.  When YHWH clearly asked me if I was ready to lay down everything I thought I knew, I had no idea what would transpire . . . I retained Scripture I had memorized, spiritual truths I'd learned, but the teachings of tradition began falling away.   It seemed much of the information I had once valued as pertinent, had no place in my heart.   One of the surest signs of the counterfeit roar is clinging to the traditions of man to replace, thus reject Torah.  The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is Torah in the flesh.    And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  Matthew 7:23   The word "iniquity" is translated from the Greek word, anomia; meaning: without the law.

The definition of faith has really been run through the wringer and hung out to dry!  I'm amazed at the number of those who claim Bible belief, seem to feel G-d doesn't operate the way He used to, although the Bible says He changes NOT!   It runs the full gambit . . . We seek the wisdom of man for our problems and don't recognize the signs of warning and judgment, all while claiming faith in G-d.  In the past twenty years, faith has really seemed interchangeable with presumption and demand.  The prosperity teaching which is nothing more than a false teaching to "sanctify the love of money" has led the way in presumptuous churchianity.  I still remember the horrible shudder I felt when I heard someone "praying" and telling G-d what He had to do, as they used Scripture out of context.  The sheer arrogance of that prayer, really scared me.  I've said for years that the national economy tanking, is judgment for the "name it and claim it" prosperity teaching.  While the "blab it and grab it" crowd speaks their version of "righteous judgment" over this generation of instant gratification, the adversary has roared and is devouring his prey.

In trusting our health to the wisdom of humanity, we have come to a very dangerous place.  Faith in G-d as our healer has actually been prosecuted as criminal negligence and health insurance is now mandatory.  Meanwhile, more children die every year from medical errors than have died in twenty years from non-medical treatment based upon faith.  The Creator of the universe, Who also created our bodies . . . stated unequivocally in Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of YHWH thy G-d, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am YHWH that heals thee.

There's a reason we are warned against the use of pharmaceuticals in the Revelation, even if we don't have the wisdom to fully understand it. James gave instruction for wisdom and healing.  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of G-d, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  James 1:5
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  James 5:14-16
Defining righteousness without Torah is self-righteousness, which is not at all, righteous.  Again the work of the counterfeit lion.
